Tempt your Tastebuds!

How many times have you driven past a new restaurant and said to yourself, “Wow, how long has that been there? I wonder if it’s any good?”  In my latest edition of Sweet Home Sarasota, I  mentioned an article in the Sarasota Magazine that answers these questions for us! It’s a very comprehensive summary of the best new dining options in Sarasota by category, and I bet there are a few here you haven’t even heard of yet, so it’s definitely worth taking a look.

I recently came across a review of a new place called Summer House on Siesta Key.  While it shares its name with a place called Summerhouse which closed in 2004, this restaurant is not affiliated with that establishment.  However, the new owner did want to pay homage to the previous owner while giving a nod to history, so they revitalized the old name.

Finally, I will leave you with almost everyone’s favorite….pizza!  Just when you think we have enough pizza to choose from, another fabulous pizza joint opens up!  For those of you from college towns, you may be familiar with Mellow Mushroom pizza.  Unique and tasty, they are now open on the South Trail!
